Congratulations to MCZ Faculty-Curator George Lauder, awarded the Joseph S. Nelson Lifetime Award, and former MCZ Curatorial Associate of Ichthyology Karsten Hartel, awarded the Spiritus Collections Award. Both awards are presented annually by the American Society of Ichthyologists and Herpetologist (ASIH) at their annual meeting, Joint Meeting of Ichthyologists and Herpetologists (JMIH). The Joseph S. Nelson Lifetime Award recognizes a member of ASIH for an outstanding body of work in any area of ichthyology and the Spirit Collections Award recognizes excellence in service and support of natural history collections of fishes, amphibians and reptiles.
